This year's theme? GUTTER GLAM!! Celebrating all things, underground, grunge, glam, and glittery! Theme is optional, though encouraged. (Who says burlesquers don’t love to dress up)🪩

Slow it down like a Queen / Sensuality with intention with Foxy Lexxi Brown (PWYC)

Discover the art of the tease with Foxy Lexxi! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to slow it down, move with intention, and exude sensuality that keeps your audience captivated. Master the power of taking your time and turning up the heat, leaving your audience hot, bothered, and begging for more.

Intro to Costume and Prop Creation with Kuya Atay ($25)

Let’s start to make the visual representation of your act. From a self taught journey and visual arts background, Kuya Atay has dove deep into burlesque using his cosplay knowledge, his affinity for nostalgic references, and love for mask making.The world of costuming and prop making is expansive and there’s more than one way to approach our desired end result. Where do we begin creating? How do we achieve this on a budget? What tools and skills do you have that you can apply? In a lecture format workshop, we can troubleshoot and discover our pieces into stage ready burlesque beauties. 

This workshop is open to all. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned performer, it is an open space to connect and share from all skill levels.Kuya hopes to leave you with a spark of inspiration and a willingness to start a new approach in the creation process.

Chair Work with Bea Lissima ($25)

Learn the basics of chair work with Bea Lissima. This workshop will focusing on basic positions, transitions, building strength, and putting moves together. This class has a choreography component. Mobility aids are welcomed in this class, and needs will be tailored to each participant. This class is for beginners looking to add chair choreography to their burlesque routines.

Improv with Sweet Rosie Mae ($25)

Improv with Sweet Rosie Mae is a workshop designed for performers to intentionally create movement inspired by music, environment, character, and costume. The workshop guides participants through concepts related to various styles of music, helping them craft deliberate, well-designed movement in the moment. While this class centers on improvised movement, the principles taught can also be applied to crafting choreography and stage acts. This workshop draws from Sweet Rosie Mae's extensive experience with live band burlesque shows and her background in jazz music and dance.
